At Coin Street, we have various events going on during the half-term break that are guaranteed to entertain people of all ages. Ranging across our designer-maker studios and art galleries at Oxo Tower Wharf, to our independent restaurants at Gabriel’s Wharf, there’s plenty to sink your teeth into!

1. Create your own leather key fobs with Carréducker

Carréducker, one of our talented design-maker studios at Oxo Tower Wharf, is running a new series of workshops throughout October across the half-term period, which is an enjoyable class for all the family.

Participants in the workshops will be able to choose their own leather colour and hardware, and then they’ll be guided through the steps of making their own personalised key fob. This includes using letter punches to decorate the fob with your name or initials. You’ll leave the workshop with a lovely leather fob that you can proudly say you have made!

Carréducker’s workshops are £25 per person, running 2pm-4pm on Tuesday 25 October, Wednesday 26 October, and Friday 28 October. To sign up for their workshops, visit their website here.

2. Visit Exhibit Here’s Art Maze exhibition at Bargehouse

With the ongoing cost-of-living crisis this autumn, we know that finding a low-cost, entertaining activity can be difficult during the half-term break. The good news is that we have an exciting exhibition in Bargehouse this half-term – and it’s completely free!

Exhibit Here is a leading arts organisation with a passion for providing opportunities for artists, which was founded by fine artist Leila Bibizadeh in 2013. Exhibit Here invites you to attend their epic Art Maze exhibition, where you can view and buy original artwork. Bargehouse will be transformed into a haunting and immersive maze of art creating a story that unravels as visitors explore the exhibition. With 13 different spaces to discover, each room is incredibly atmospheric with original features and quirks, providing a fascinating backdrop for the exhibition.

Exhibit Here’s Art Maze will be open in Bargehouse from Wednesday 26 October – Sunday 30 October, 11am-6pm. To find out more, visit their page here.

3. Pop into Concrete London’s ‘Women in Business’ Fashion pop-up at gallery@oxo

This event is perfect for all the fashionistas out there!

In gallery@oxo during half-term, Concrete London is exhibiting their ‘Women in Business’ designer pop-up, which focuses on the ever-concerning climate change affecting our environment. The fast fashion industry contributes vastly towards landfill waste. Therefore, Concrete London wants to educate consumers into buying more consciously.

The fashion pop-up will showcase a plethora of ethically focused female-founded brands that want to make a change. If you love all things fashion and you’re also big on sustainability, this designer pop-up is must see in your half-term calendar.

Concrete London’s pop-up will be open in gallery@oxo from Tuesday 25 October to Monday 31 October. Visit their page here to find out more.

4. Go for a Bottomless Brunch at Marsha

Half-term gives us a chance to relax and socialise with our loved ones – what better way to do so than at a riverside bottomless brunch?

Marsha, our delicious and sustainable chicken restaurant in Gabriel’s Wharf, has just launched their brand-new Bottomless Brunch menu!

On Saturdays and Sundays between 11am-5pm, you’ll be able to get 90 minutes of bottomless beer, Mimosa, Bloody Mary or Elderflower Spritz. The new brunch menu is made fresh every morning and reflects Marsha’s passion to use as much of the chicken as possible, including items such as shakshuka, vegan banana pancakes, pulled chicken crumpets and loads more.

If brunch isn’t your thing, don’t forget that kids eat free at Marsha during the half-term break when one adult orders two courses (including a main)!
