The gallery-shop was a much-loved creative space at Gabriel’s Wharf, showcasing the work of artist and potter Liz Mathews and writer Frances Bingham.
For decades, the pair shared their passion for craft, creativity and storytelling through a unique gallery-shop filled with contemporary ceramics, original artwork, and beautifully produced books. Building on a creative partnership that began with their first pottery and lettering studio in London in 1986, they created a welcoming space where visitors could discover handmade pieces inspired by nature, the Thames and the world around them.
Liz Mathews’ ever-evolving collections feature hand-thrown and individually decorated pots, bowls, plates and jugs, each fresh from the kiln. Alongside the pottery, established writer Frances Bingham produces framed paper-based works, Thames-themed wall art, and beautiful printed books.
