This Volunteers' Week Coin Street want to say a big thank you to all of our volunteers who contribute so much to Coin Street across the year including helping at one-off events like our seniors party, weekly tutoring sessions, helping at coffee morning or regularly supporting young people to access in the gym. We couldn’t run our programmes without you! Thank you all!

Yi Lin
Yi Lin, one of our fantastic volunteers at the Feel Good Saturday was recognised as a volunteer Champion at the Southwark Stars event on Friday. Yi Lin has been dedicated to attending the Saturday morning Feel Good Saturday sessions and supporting the team. Yi Lin works with our personal trainer to ensure that members of the group with mobility issues or other access requirements are supported in the gym session and can get from one machine or activity to another and feel confident and supported to join in. Thank you Yi Lin!
Iman
Congratulations to Iman who has been awarded Young Volunteer of the year at the Southwark Stars events run by Community Southwark. She has been recognised for being an amazing young volunteer at Coin Street over the last 4 years. Iman is chair of our young leaders group, showing real leadership skills in setting the agenda with staff, chairing the meetings and encouraging everyone to participate. She represents Coin Street and local young people at events, talking to board members, staff from other organisation and even our local MP when we have a visit to Westminster in the autumn. Iman is always incredibly reliable, committed and engaged. Thank you Iman!

Special mention to all of our peer mentors from Westminster School and other schools and some of our long term tutors who have been with us for 4 years!
Gentle Gardeners
Thank you to our wonderful gardeners who help maintain the Community Garden area in Bernie Spain Gardens, improving biodiversity and learning how to grow fruit and vegetables. They are a special group that look after each other as well as the garden, thank you!
