Human/The Masks We Wear

Abstract colourful painting of three people.

Ann Beatty and Kim Rasit first connected through a mutual understanding of the spaces they inhabit. As CEOs of charities, leadership can often be a solitary place. For both artists, creative practice has become a way not only to reflect on that experience but to sustain and nourish themselves.

This exhibition brings together two distinct bodies of work:

Human by Kim Rasit
Exploring current humanity around the world, its tilted moral compass and the future humans we could be.

The Masks We Wear by Ann Beatty
A series exploring the many roles we adopt in our lives and the tension between the selves we show and the selves we keep hidden.

Through paintings, glass, ceramics and sculpture they present a powerful, moving and reflective exhibition.

While each artist presents a solo collection, the exhibition represents a meeting of like minds. Together their work invites viewers to reflect on the complexity of humanity and the many layers that shape who we are.
