Our Impact

Our impact photos of coin street staff

As we enter the New Year, we've taken the chance to reflect and highlight our achievements from 2024-2025. We're proud of what we've accomplished, and these highlights will give you an insight into the work that goes on across our estate.

As we look to the future, we're working hard to make sure Coin Street continues to provide the best possible service to our community.

Best start for children and families

We support those starting out in life and their parents/carers through our Nursery and Family and Children's Centre. Our Nursery is open all year, providing a rounded education to over 90 children, the majority of these attending daily. Our Family and Children's Centre supports families from across our community, offering over 14 free courses, workshops, and 1-1 sessions each week. This year, we've had:

  • 4,093 attendances at Family Support sessions.
  • 755 families supported by our Family and Children’s Centre
  • 35 languages spoken by families from 64 countries who use our services
  • 51 lone parents, 8 families seeking asylum/refugee status and 9 children with disabilities supported
  • 96% of nursery parents say their child is happy at Coin Street

Health and wellbeing for everyone

The wellbeing of our community and staff members is important to us. We host a weekly timetable of 16 fitness and social events for all ages to enjoy, from over 50s art to Youth Night. We've also opened our neighbourhood centre for community days, welcoming hundreds of people with free performances and food. Here are some highlights from this year:

  • 650 people regularly engage in our youth and community activities
  • 811 participants enjoyed 84 social activities
  • 81 colleagues attended 13 wellbeing events

Drivers

Continuing to provide for our community wouldn't be possible without our people. Our staff, volunteers, donors and those who visit our estate continue to help us make a difference every day. Here are some of their highlights:

  • 148 volunteers supported our community work
  • 66 ethnic and cultural identities came together in our youth and community sessions
  • 19% of colleagues and 39% of board members identify as being from ethnic minority/global majority backgrounds
  • 8 out of 10 people say we make a positive contribution to the neighbourhood
  • £240k raised in donations and grants to power our community work

Further insights

Other key areas we've focused on are our homes, conference centres and educating our colleagues and community.

  • High-quality spaces to live, work and play: 94% of Conference Centre clients rate their experience as excellent or good
  • Homes that support our community: 220 homes provided to 1k+ residents across 4 fully mutual housing co-operatives
  • Enterprise, creativity and lifelong learning: 236 people boosted their skills through our learning sessions
