We recently caught up with Jubbi, a member of the Sugar + Style team, one of our independent retailers at Gabriel’s Wharf.
Sugar + Style is an independent womenswear boutique offering bespoke collections of the latest fashion trends, as well as handmade accessories and bespoke interior décor. They promote and support independent, individual, fun and colourful fashion.
At Sugar + Style, Jubbi runs the social media, website, and online marketing channels for the store, organising all the photoshoots and doing some of them herself as well.
Sugar + Style is your destination for beautiful, wearable pieces. Their focus is on providing feminine yet edgy pieces that their customers can treasure. Using a wearable and feminine style with a whimsical feel, their womenswear includes delicate little dresses in pretty prints and pastel shades teamed with chunky knits. Sugar + Style stays trendy and chic in every season!
The boutique sells a wide range of items online and in-store, mainly their clothing range, which includes unique drops such as small quantities of new pieces, stocked in small runs for a limited time only. This keeps everything on sale unique and sustainable as there’s no waste afterwards.
Their carefully curated pieces items include clothing, jewellery, accessories, ceramics, stationery, bags, homeware goods and an extensive collection of sunglasses. All these products are handmade by individual members of the Sugar + Style team.
Jubbi says that when you visit Gabriel’s Wharf and look around all the independent shops, you can know for sure that whatever you purchase is made by someone who is extremely passionate about their craft and their tradesmanship.
We asked Jubbi: “If you had to describe Sugar + Style in three words, which three words would you pick?”
She responded: “Fun, unique, and stylish!”
