This year's event aims to raise £1,500 for two exceptional community projects: Room For You and Coin Street’s community singing group. These initiatives play a vital role in combatting loneliness and isolation, by bringing local people together, all year round.
At the service, St John's Church Choir, Coin Street Community Singers, and Take Note Singers will unite to present a delightful repertoire of Christmas favourites. Feel free to join in on the carolling and immerse yourself in the festive spirit. After the service, linger to enjoy stalls and holiday treats such as mince pies and mulled wine.
Funds raised will support Room For You, offering English language classes, art and creativity, counselling and sharing food together. Proceeds will also go towards Coin Street community singing group, inviting people of all abilities to have fun performing together, lifting spirits, and improving mental health and wellbeing.
While admission is free, we encourage attendees to contribute a suggested donation of £10 per adult. Book now on TicketSource and please give generously.
Reverend Giles Goddard, Vicar at St. John’s Waterloo, says: “Christmas is a time of hope, joy and to think of others. I am delighted to welcome the community to St John’s, to sing together and rejoice, and show my support for two worthy causes.”
Natalie Bell, Head of Youth and Community Programmes at Coin Street, says: “It’s wonderful to have partnered with St. John’s this year, on what will be a remarkable evening of festivities for the whole family. I look forward to joining in on the carols, and raising funds for two outstanding projects, which I know make a difference to people’s lives.”
