This weekend sees the return of our Easter weekend celebrations at Gabriel’s Wharf, nestled on the vibrant South Bank.
On Saturday 4th and Monday 6th April enjoy two relaxed afternoons of live music under the bandstand, surrounded by the buzz of the Wharf. Take the opportunity to meet our wonderful shop owners, and maybe even treat yourself or a loved one to a unique item from our talented makers. Don’t forget to also pick up your Easter chocolate treats from our chocolatier in residence, GABU CHOCOLATE!
On Saturday Anglo-Brazilian guitarist Billy Watman kicks off the celebrations. A Sky Arts Guitar Star finalist, Billy draws on his Latin heritage to blend flamenco, classical and rock-pop energy into a sound that’s completely his own. The afternoon continues with the return of acclaimed performers Danusia Samal (vocals) and Ed Gaughan (guitar), who bring their jazz standards and soulful sounds back to the Wharf.
On Monday, Joseph Gravil (mex.fS) transports audiences once more with his atmospheric, other‑worldly soundscapes and distinctive lap‑tap guitar style. The weekend rounds off with guitarist Nathan Osgood and renowned harmonica player Joff Watkins (two thirds of the Nathan Osgood Trio), who close the celebrations on a high with an upbeat fusion of bluegrass and jazz.
Whilst enjoying the entertainment sample the tasty food and drink from the many traders at the Wharf, including authentic pizza, zesty Caribbean flavours, and delicious toasties.
We hope to see you there!
