Meet Nikolo, fashion designer and owner of his eponymous brand NIKOLO BERTOK in Gabriel’s Wharf!

In this independent design shop, you can find locally produced bespoke clothing and home textiles designed by NIKOLO BERTOK.

The studio shop offers an even greater selection of sustainable ready-to-wear fashion by maintaining locally produced items and using recycled materials. He also offers bespoke design services, seasonal collections, unique pieces, limited edition designs, and textile prints.

We caught up with Nikolo to find out more about his shop:

“The brand itself was established in 2010 by its London Fashion Week debut. I joined Gabriel’s Wharf earlier this year, and becoming a part of this community has allowed me to share my creative work with others.

My brand focuses on slow, ready-to-wear fashion, bespoke, and couture pieces. All the garments are currently handmade and are produced in my atelier with locally sourced materials. The philosophy of my brand is to maintain sustainability, by producing less, focusing on a higher quality, using elements of recycled fibers.

Most of the garments produced by me are likely to be hand-finished, which gives the garment a new dimension and added value. Over the years, providing bespoke services and several collections produced, my brand has a signature style. Some of them are elements coming from the initial inspirations, from the archive of the old collections.

One of my signature styles is a volume skirt, which I love making from different silk materials. This often happens to be a bespoke skirt or part of my unique couture pieces that are available in the store.

To see and enjoy the products I make, visit us at Gabriel’s Wharf – a beautiful place on the South Bank where you can find all the amazing, independent businesses just like me!”
