You can see just far Amal has walked on her long journey through Turkey, Greece and Italy.
At this point in her epic voyage, Coin Street is delighted to share details with you of the route Little Amal is taking through the UK.
Little Amal will arrive in Folkstone on Friday 19 October, and then will move through artistic events in Dover, Canterbury, London (22-24) Oxford, Coventry, Birmingham, Sheffield and Barnsley before arriving in Manchester on 3 November.

Amal and the Giant Fairground Wheel

Location: Deptford Broadway, The Anchor - Giffin Square
In a celebratory event of welcome created with Lewisham, the London Borough of Culture 2022, Amal is welcomed to Lewisham where a giant fairground wheel has been erected in her honour.
There she will discover treasures from around the world in Deptford’s bustling street market, form friendships with the young people of Lewisham and celebrate the diversity of the borough, the first borough in the UK to be recognised as a borough of sanctuary.

Location: Outside St Pauls Cathedral
Amal arrives weary at St Paul’s Cathedral in the heart of the London. The Great West Doors, the ceremonial doors of the Cathedral, will open wide allowing children from across London, members of St Paul’s community and other faith leaders to welcome Amal to the Cathedral.
On the steps of the Cathedral, spoken word and music collide in an extraordinary event of welcome directed by Phyllida Lloyd (Mamma Mia, Tina the Musical) will unfold around Amal.

After a busy day exploring London, Amal arrives on the busy streets of Covent Garden where the Royal Opera House will welcome her into the Paul Hamlyn Hall to sleep for the night.
There she will be surrounded by singers, dancers and musicians who have gathered to hold a night vigil to protect Amal and guard her from bad dreams.
