Grace Colquhoun is a British designer who creates bespoke clothing commissions for film, fashion and bridal.

A specialist in pattern cutting and garment construction, Grace uses couture sewing techniques and traditional craftsmanship from her training at Alexander McQueen and the Savile Row tailor Gieves and Hawkes.

Grace grew up on Mersea Island situated on the East Anglian Coast.  The natural world is an important theme in Grace’s work as she explores sustainability in textiles and circular fashion through reworking garments.

After graduating in 2010 with a 1:1 BA (hons) from Southampton Solent University, Grace moved to London working across Fashion and Film. This included ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi,’, Paloma Faith’s ‘Architect’ tour, Westlife’s ‘Twenty’ world tour and for BBC’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

Alongside designing and making for the creative and performing arts, Grace also taught fine art students at Goldsmiths University of London in the Stitch and Research Laboratory. Conducting workshops in textiles, pattern cutting and sewing techniques.

Grace set up her own studio Grace Lane London in 2016. Based at The Oxo Tower Wharf, the space is both a working studio and fitting space. Clients can see where commissions are envisaged and created, exploring the fabric samples, sketches, and on-going designs.
