Run the London Marathon

Have you always dreamed of running the London Marathon? Here's your chance to take on one of the world's most iconic races while making a difference in your local community.

Our 2027 charity places have now been filled.

We're delighted that five dedicated runners will be representing Team Coin Street at the 2027 TCS London Marathon on Saturday 24 April 2027.

Over the coming months, they'll be training hard and raising vital funds to support the Coin Street neighbourhood centre and the services and activities that bring people together in Waterloo and North Southwark.

Why run for Coin Street?

By taking part, you'll help raise vital funds to keep the Coin Street neighbourhood centre open, welcoming, and accessible for everyone.

In an increasingly disconnected world, everyone deserves a place where they feel they belong. Many of the families and residents we work with in Waterloo and North Southwark come from diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. At a time when division, isolation and inequality continue to affect our community, the Coin Street neighbourhood centre has never been more important.

Every week, hundreds of people come through our doors to access services and activities that strengthen community connections, reduce isolation, and improve wellbeing.

Over the last year Coin Street has made it possible for:

• 1,516 people to take part in youth and community activities
• 812 families to be supported by our Family and Children’s Centre
• 8,951 attendances at community and youth sessions
• 4,843 attendances at our family support sessions
• 191 social activities to bring people together
• 384 people to take part in fitness activities to support a healthier lifestyle
• 107 people to develop their skills and confidence through our learning opportunities

From family support services, early years activities, parenting courses and classes for children with special educational needs, to mentoring and leadership programmes for young people, community singing, art classes for over 50s and community events, our neighbourhood centre is a place where people connect, learn, grow and thrive.
