Zeta's Story

Zeta

Today, I am going to talk about something that's quite important: living in a housing co-op. It’s not just about having a place to stay; it’s about being part of a community, like a huge group of friends.

In a housing co-op, we all come together with a similar interest: to create a supportive and inclusive space where everyone's voice matters. We believe in working together, being considerate together, and creating somewhere where everyone’s needs are solved.

One of the best things about living in a co-op is the sense of being like-minded. We’re not just neighbours; we’re friends who look out for each other. Whether it's lending a hand, sharing a meal, or just being there for each other.

Living in a co-op also means we try to take care of our community and everyone's mental health. But the coolest part of living in a co-op is the freedom it brings. Everyone gets a chance to take on leadership roles, join in decision-making, and share their unique skills with the community.

We believe in the power of working together, where everyone’s strengths come together to create a vibrant, thriving place to live, and a place where we can all get to know each other better. For example, in our meeting room, Dotte organises an arts and crafts group every other Sunday, and Ramona has organised a games group. This allows us to meet up and have fun hanging out with each other.

Sometimes the world feels disconnected when everyone's on devices. Living in a co-op reminds me of the importance of connection and cooperation. It’s about being in a collective, supporting each other and lifting each other up.

So, as we keep moving forward in this co-op, let’s embrace the moments of kindness, and mutual respect. Let’s keep working together, not just for ourselves but for the good of other people too!
