Join us for a FREE two-part workshop about neurodiversity and understanding the child’s brain.

Are you a parent or carer with a child aged between 0-5 years? Join us for a FREE two-part workshop about neurodiversity and understanding the child’s brain. You will hear from researchers and practitioners from King’s College London, and have the opportunity to join in on group discussions, ask questions, and connect with other parents.

Workshop 1: Wednesday 17 July and Wednesday 14 August. 1-3pm.

This session will be researched focused. What you will learn:

  • Introduction to how a brain develops
  • Brain imaging – what we use and how, and what for
  • What research is being done into neurodiversity
  • Breaking down the myths
  • Open discussion

Workshop 2: Wednesday 31 July and Wednesday 28 August. 1-3pm.

This session will be practical focused. What you will learn:

  • Assessment and diagnosis
  • Understanding progress of skills development – e.g. toilet training
  • Dealing with the emotional impact
  • Personal and public perception vs the facts
  • Support resources for parents
  • Open discussion
