Spirit of Place is an original artwork designed by Simone Brewster in collaboration with cork suppliers Amorim.
Originally installed as part of last year’s London Design Festival, the design captures the essence of the cork as a robust and beautiful material.
The trunks of the trees carry a warm brown tone. Here, the distinct qualities of the material are translated into Brewster's large-scale sculptural columns. Each column combines a range of cork composites with individual textures, colours and properties marked with the (A) as found on Amorim cork stoppers.
