Tilly and Dotty's fundraising challenge

Tilly Dotty and Monty

Tilly (9) and Dotty (7) are two sisters living in London who wanted to make a real difference to something close to their hearts.

When they were younger, both went sisters went to Coin Street Nursery. Their brother, Monty, still goes to the nursery which is how they heard that due to the coronavirus pandemic, the nursery was struggling to buy everything they needed for their children.

They wanted to help so they set themselves the challenge of cycling 250 miles between them during the second, month long national lockdown. Not only did the girls manage the complete the challenge, they smashed their target and cycled nearly 300 miles! They also surpassed the amount they wanted to raise with a target of £500, they actually managed to raise £1,400.

Everyone at Coin Street is so proud of what the girls have been able to achieve. Their hard work and determination have really paid off and all the children who go to the nursery will benefit from their selflessness.

The money the girls have raised will be spent on a creative station arts centre and resources to improve the outside play area including rope swings, a water play area and a playhouse for the babies.

We can’t thank Tilly and Dotty enough for the fantastic effort they made in raising money for the nursery. Tilly and Dotty used to attend our nursery and know this money will make a huge difference. Many thanks to both of you. You really are an inspiration.
