How Claudia can help your family coming out of lockdown

Claudia Garcia, Coin Street’s Senior Early Years Educator connects local families like yours.

Claudia's sessions support you and your child. She helps your child develop emotional, physical and communication skills in a creative, safe space and connects you with local parents so they have a support network. Claudia enjoys her work because she values the strong connections local families make in her sessions saying, “it’s wonderful to see parents and children getting to know neighbours better.”

Research shows that families with children are hit the hardest by the crisis; with 42% of families with children, and single parents in particular, facing serious financial difficulty or struggling to make ends meet, compared with 24% of other households.

Claudia supports you by finding solutions to the problems you are facing. Whether giving you advice on how to get your child into a good routine, helping you meet other local parents or referring you to speech and language therapists, midwives and nutritionists she focuses on what you need most. She has strong relationships with children’s centres in Southwark to ensure you have a range of support options available to you.

Claudia loves her job because she feels like she is making a real difference in the lives of local families. She first started working in Coin Street Nursery and in 2018 became Senior Early Years Educator which gave her a better work-life balance. With more flexibility she enjoys spending time with her husband and being more present in her children’s lives.

For Claudia Coin Street is Community, Opportunity, Connection.

The best part of Coin Street is doing work I believe in, where I support families, watch people grow and see people become part of a community.
