Coin Street Remembers

Iain Tuckett meets The Queen

This evening, Sunday 18 September 2022 the nation has been invited to take part in a National Moment of Reflection to mourn the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and reflect on her life and legacy.

The National Moment of Reflection will take place at 8pm on the eve of Her Majesty’s State Funeral and will be marked by a one-minute silence across the nation.

Coin Street was immensely honoured when, in 1988 accompanied by HRH Prince Phillip, Her Majesty opened the Coin Street stretch of London’s South Bank riverside walkway. It is a moving tribute that the queue for The Queen’s Lying-in-State follows the route of the Jubilee Walkway that was originally created to celebrate the Queen’s Silver Jubilee in 1977.

We were honoured in 2014 when Her Majesty The Queen and HRH The Prince Philip met with our Group Director Iain Tuckett MBE and formally opened Rambert’s new dance studios and headquarters on Upper Ground.

Together with the nation, we will remember Her Majesty The Queen with admiration and gratitude for a lifetime of service at 8pm this evening.

If you wish to pay tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, an online Book of Condolence for those who wish to leave messages is available.
