We work to enable people of all ages to actively engage in education, play, sports, health, arts and their community.
All of our activities are free or affordable and aim to encourage our community to meet new people, be active, learn and have fun. Our classes, workshops and groups are highly inclusive and cater for expectant parents, babies and toddlers, children and young people, older people and adults of all ages and abilities.
Our Community Programmes team develop, deliver and manage a wide range of high quality youth groups, sports, arts and leisure programmes and events for those living and working in the South Bank and Bankside areas.
Our OFSTED Outstanding rated family and children’s centre is an excellent resource for local residents. Its high quality and affordable programmes, provide integrated childcare and early years education. This includes an OFSTED registered 84-place day nursery, sessional crèche provision and holiday play schemes for school age children, as well as support for parents and carers and a wide range of fun family activities.
Our training and employment programme offers many free and affordable courses to support parents wishing to pursue further education, or to get back to work. The programme consists of both one-to-one support and access to vocational and basic skills training courses. Crèche facilities are also available to further facilitate parents’ participation in our programme.
Our family support team is available for parents/carers seeking information and support with their under fives – we run parenting groups and courses, cooking sessions and special groups to support particular needs, mental health and combat isolation. As well as offering home visits and one-to–one case work for those who are finding family life challenging, our weekly programme has something for everyone with babies and/or young children.
We partner with other local organisations and coordinate programmes across a number of sites including the Coin Street neighbourhood centre, Morley College, the Colombo Centre, Rambert dance studios and the London Nautical School.
