Little Movers 1 (Age 2 years)
Saturdays, 9.30 – 10.30am

Little Movers is a creative, contemporary dance class designed for toddlers and their parents/guardians. Each term uses creative themes to develop the toddlers motor skills such as directions, levels, pathways and balance; starting to explore the basics of Contemporary Dance. The themes also encourage imagination, characterisation and storytelling using props and materials. The dance class is a fun way for children and adults to interact and bond whilst children are learning the fundamentals of moving. The class time includes time to settle into the studio, group movement exercises and opportunities to play.

Class Level: Participants should be aged 2 years and accompanied by a parent/guardian. No previous dance experience necessary.

Little Movers 2 (3 – 4 years)
Saturdays, 10.30 – 11.30am

Little Movers is a creative contemporary dance class designed to continue children’s’ development with their motor skills and start to introduce contemporary technique. Each term focuses on a creative theme and uses a variety of resources and props to explore imagination, characterisation and storytelling. This class also encourages children’s independence through movement exercises.

The class time includes time to settle into the studio, warm up with parents/guardians and movement activity based on themes that the children are encouraged to take part in independent of their parents/guardians. The class ends with inviting parent/guardians to re-join the class or to observe what the children have been working on that week.

Class Level: Participants should be aged 3 – 4yrs.

Mini Movers (5 – 7 years)
Saturdays, 12 – 1pm

Mini Movers is a creative contemporary class, which uses different themes, including repertoire from the professional company, to explore how we can move with our bodies creatively and imaginatively around the studio. Each class starts with warm up and dance games to develop confidence, independence and musicality. During each class there is opportunity to create their own movement as well as learn set exercises and choreography to introduce the basic technique of Contemporary Dance which develops throughout the term. At the end of every term we open the class to family and friends to share what the children have learnt.

Class Level: Participants should be aged 5-7 yrs. No previous dance experience necessary.

Young Movers 1: Creative Contemporary (8 – 10 years)
Saturdays, 1.00 – 2.00pm

Rambert’s high-energy creative class will focus on developing young dancer’s creative ideas and skills through fun creative tasks and using Rambert repertoire and the choreographic process of our guest choreographers as a stimulus to explore and create movement.

Class Level: Participants should be aged 8 – 10 years and/or schools years 3 – 6. No previous dance experience necessary.

Young Movers 1: Contemporary Technique (8 – 10yrs)
Wednesdays, 6.15 – 7.15pm

Our fun and high-energy technique class will introduce the fundamentals of contemporary dance using short phrases, travelling sequences, floor work and Rambert repertoire to grow technical and performance skills.

Class Level: Participants should be aged 8 – 10 years and/or schools years 3 – 6. No previous dance experience necessary.

Young Movers 2: Contemporary Technique (11 – 13yrs)
Wednesdays, 6.15 – 7.15pm

Our fun and high-energy technique class will develop young dancers contemporary dance technique using short phrases, travelling sequences, floor work, improvisation and Rambert repertoire to grow technical and performance skills.

Class Level: Participants should be aged 11 -13 years and/or schools years 7 – 9. No previous dance experience necessary.

Young Movers 2: Creative Contemporary (Age 11 – 13yrs)
Saturdays, 3.00 – 4.00pm

Our high-energy creative class will focus on developing young dancer’s creative ideas and skills through fun creative tasks and using Rambert repertoire and the choreographic process of our guest choreographers as a stimulus to explore and create movement.

Class Level: Participants should be aged 11 -13 years and/or schools years 7 – 9. No previous dance experience necessary.
