Coin Street family and children’s centre provides a safe environment for learning and development. Families with children aged five and under are able to access our services. Parents can receive support and advice, access to health and education services and the share experiences. We offer one-to-one advice by appointment at the centre or in your own home. The parent and family support programme continues to develop and expand. If you have any suggestions or issues that concern you and your family, please let us know. There may be others who share your concerns and for whom we may be able to develop a workshop.
Early years development
Coin Street Family Support Team are experienced in supporting children’s early development in a range of fun ways. If you are concerned about your child(ren’s) development, we are available to support you within sessions such as Play Pattern Workshop, School Readiness and Child Safety.
Referred support sessions
Some sessions are available by referral only. You can receive referrals from your health visitor, family support worker, social worker, GP or an early years practitioner. You can also make a self-referral by calling the Coin Street family support team who are happy to help and can sign post you to health and well-being sessions such as Pace2Be, antenatal classes and art therapy.
Free early learning
All 3, 4 and some 2-year-olds are entitled to 570 hours of free early education or childcare a year.
We are a registered distributor of Foodbank Vouchers. If you’re in an food crisis, or you know someone who is, you can contact our family support team confidentially. Call, e-mail or drop in to the neighbourhood centre.
The Coin Street nursery provides high quality, child centred care and learning for children from 3 months to 5 years. For more information please contact our Nursery Administrator on 020 7021 1674.

Please note: priority for places at Family Support sessions will be given to parents and carers living in the Coin Street catchment area. This includes the area south of the river Thames from Lambeth Bridge to Borough High Street and south to St George’s Circus.
