Coin Street – 2016 in numbers
With 2017 well and truly upon us, we are taking the time to reflect on the year that was.
£10,000 – Grant awarded to our Family & Children’s Centre from the Tesco Bags of Help initiative, raised from the 5p bag levy. We will be using the money to create a greener outdoor space for the children.
80 – New families registered with our Family Support services including Tuesday Stay’n’Play, Chatterbox and Strengthening Families Strengthening Communities.
71 – Total number of young people who attended our weekly youth clubs (Girls’ Club, Youth Club – aged 8-16).
6 – Youth Club trips organised for 8-12 year olds (including Shrek Tour and House of Parliament).
100 – Total number of young people per week who participated in our sports programmes (Soccer Skills Academy, Youth Football Training, Youth Gym, Junior Tennis and Junior Football) on the outdoor Hatfields pitches & at Colombo Centre.
45 – Number of seniors who benefited from senior aerobics and jazz dance class per week.
50 – Number of young people who attended our Easter Camp.
100 – Children who attended our FREE ‘Science and Stuff’ workshops in June, hosted by the Science Museum.
75 – Amount of young people who attended our Summer Sports Camp coming from SE1 and SE11, our areas of benefit.
30 – Families who attended our Rooftop Film Screening and Community Event in August.
70 – Local seniors who attended our Young at Heart party in January (2016).
£1000 – Amount raised by our nursery chef, Jo Day, after shaving her head for Macmillan’s ‘Brave the Shave’.
100+ – Coin Street co-op residents who attended the free BBQ event organised by one of our commercial clients in the temporary event marquee on Doon Street carpark.
6 – New universities exhibited at our annual graduate showcase at Oxo Tower Wharf; Bath Spa, a repeat exhibitor, were featured as a top 10 show in Icon magazine.
10,718 – Visitors attended the Mr Men and Little Miss Mini Museum in August at gallery@oxo.
This is just a snapshot of our 2016 and we’re looking forward to improving on these figures this year.
