Kate Swade

Kate is an executive director at Shared Assets, a think and do tank that supports and promotes common good land use, by providing practical support, strategic research and advocating for policy change.

She is a passionate advocate of community-led solutions to urban and rural development challenges. Kate is also a trustee of Toynbee Hall and is on the board of the Grange, a permaculture smallholding supporting refugees and migrants fleeing torture and persecution.

She was a 2013 Clore Social Fellow. Kate has worked in the field of community-led regeneration and development for over ten years, most recently in the social enterprise consultancy team at Coin Street, supporting community organisations to take a social enterprise approach to building development and management.
