Summer Holiday Play Scheme
Our summer Holiday Play Scheme is in full swing, giving children aged 4½-11 years old the opportunity to play with their friends and enjoy local trips throughout the summer holidays.
At the neighbourhood centre, the children have been taking part in activities such as baking, clay modelling, crafting and storytelling. They have also enjoyed a trip to October Gallery where they could study the artwork of Brion Gysin and were inspired to make a dream machine and artwork using sellotape and felt tip pens.
Thanks to the generous people at Merlin Entertainment, the Play Scheme children and staff were offered complimentary tickets to visit the London Eye. The children had great fun spotting iconic London landmarks. They have also visited Rambert dance studios to work on their moves and explored Bernie Spain Gardens looking for creepy crawlies as part of the Gorgeous Gardens project.
Holiday play scheme sessions run at the Coin Street neighbourhood centre Monday-Friday throughout the school holidays for children aged 4½-11 years.
