Opening times

The nursery is open 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday 50 weeks a year.

We are closed on all bank holidays and also for inset days on Friday 27 September 2019 and Monday 4 November 2019.

Highly qualified staff

All our nursery staff are qualified to a minimum of level 3 in childcare. This means they understand your child’s care and educational needs and can provide one-to-one care when needed. Five of our teachers hold a degree, which exceeds the Government’s aim to have one graduate per nursery.

The nursery team uses an informed educational philosophy, which means that every child develops at their own pace.

Unique learning journeys

Every child’s learning process is unique. We support the natural disposition of each child to explore, investigate and discover things that interest them. We celebrate their achievements in portfolios which we share with parents.

Our staff and children are from diverse backgrounds and we believe this should be reflected in our activities. That’s why we choose activities that extend each child’s learning and development process and also broaden their horizons.

Our nursery is part of Coin Street’s Ofsted Outstanding Family and Children’s centre, which offers an exciting range of free programmes you may also take part in.

Creative environments

Our recently refurbished nursery is purpose-designed, with interactive areas for a variety of educational activities. The outside play area means children can explore and enjoy their environment and our family room offers space for quiet play, and privacy for parents.

Children take part in a wide range of activities including weekly football sessions and classes at Rambert dance company’s headquarters. And we take regular educational trips to local places including; Tate Modern, British Transport Museum London City Farms and China Town to celebrate Chinese New Year.

Parents as partners

We develop a strong relationships with parents in order to support you as your child’s main educator. We offer support during the settling-in process and maintain regular contact through a key nursery worker. Regular working/studying parent meetings take place to support your child’s learning. Each term we create a progress report, with information on your child’s development and learning in the Nursery.

Award nominated healthy eating

All nursery meals are freshly prepared on-site by our Chef, Jo. We have worked with a dietitian to develop a menu of fresh and nutritious food. You can read more about what Jo does to include more veggies and introduce children to new foods here.

All sessions include at least two meals and two snacks, which are included in the fees.

We are proud to have been one of four nurseries nationwide to be shortlisted for the food award in the Nursery World Awards 2017.
