Make a difference to young lives with a career at Coin Street Nursery.

Coin Street Nursery offers staff a chance to develop in their career and really make a difference in the children’s development, whether that’s through childcare, admin, or catering.

We offer a wide range of training & development opportunities to staff, including the opportunity to study towards Level 2 and 3 NVQs and specialise in SEN with SENCO courses.

Our nursery is committed to its staff investing in their futures.

Tanitia, our Deputy Head of Early Years, says Coin Street has been hugely supportive in her personal and professional development. Having started off as an Early Years Educator, she quickly worked her way up to Room Lead, and is now the Deputy Head studying for her degree, education which Coin Street helps fund.

Many of our staff undertake Level 2 and 3 NVQs and are given opportunities to develop their practice across all areas, including SEN, where staff can complete SENCO courses to specialise in this area and support children with special educational needs.

What makes Coin Street Nursery special is its family approach to childcare.

Our staff develop close bonds and relationships with both the children and their parents from the very start, which builds rapport and trust between staff and families. Staff conduct home visits for every child starting in the nursery to help them get an understanding of what their life is like before they join us.

The nursery creates a ‘home away from home’ feel and prides itself on developing honest, open, and understanding relationships with families, ultimately helping the staff fully understand a child’s unique needs. Our staff ensure that the parents are involved in their children’s education and learning from the beginning, including sending parents weekly updates, photos, and more – making sure they’re always in the loop with what’s going on at nursery.

Our in-house Nursery Chef, Simon, and Assistant Chefs have a huge impact on promoting healthy living in our nursery.

Simon makes sure that the children’s meals are planned out every day to ensure that they get the right food and a nutritious, balanced diet, without using any processed foods.

Simon’s cooking is thoroughly enjoyed by all the children, and our chefs work hard to ensure our children are getting all the nutrients they need to develop and grow. Our chefs also provide menus for the parents to take and try the dishes out at home, which always goes down a treat!

Outdoor learning is also a central part of our curriculum taught by our staff.

Our nursery team regularly take the children out on trips across London’s South Bank, where the children can explore and play, while also learning and problem solving, improving their cognitive development.

As well as the nursery’s outdoor play areas, staff have opportunities to visit an array of exciting locations with the children in the heart of the city, including the Rambert Dance Studio.

Join our team and support a child with the best early start in life.
